Health Empowerment Celebration on June 6th, 2015 - our first volunteer event where scholars had the opportunity to volunteer at a nonprofit founded by fellow scholar and now board member Hewett Chiu.

Greater NY Chinese Dollars for Scholars scholarship recipients volunteered in celebration of our 10th anniversary and returned to volunteer for several Raising Health events in celebration of our 20th anniversary.

AMPHS (now RAISING HEALTH), a nonprofit founded by Greater NY Chinese Dollars for Scholars 2009 scholarship recipient Hewett Chiu, hosts first Health Empowerment Celebration in Sunset Park celebrating the 5th anniversary of the organization. 

Raising Health is a community based healthcare nonprofit that specifically serves high-risk marginalized immigrant families in New York City, acting as their clinical and social service care providers and coordinators.
